PERRY LAKE |
Perry Lake - 15 miles N.E. of Topeka on Highway 24 In 1969 the Army Corps of Engineers dammed the Deleware River creating a reservoir of approximately 11,000 acres. In-Fisherman magazine has rated Perry one of the top 10 crappie lakes in the U.S. Deep river channels and long expansive flats make Perry a great lake for a variety of species. White Bass, Sauger, Channel Cat and Black Bass fishing are all on the rebound due to extensive programs by K.D.W.P. and local fishing organizations. Perry is well known for its great spring and winter crappie fishing. The famous "Hog Trough" is also a favorite hot spot for channel cats through out the summer months. |
