Pomona Lake

Pomona is a 4,000-acre lake built in 1963 by the Corps of Engineers.  Located 35 miles south of Topeka, Pamona offers a variety of species for the angler to pursue.  Crappie, Channel and Flathead Catfish and White Bass.

In 1981, a stocking program was initiated "Wipers", a Stripped Bass-White Bass hybrid.  This new variety is providing an exciting new option for the game fisherman.
